Individual Therapy
I am a clinical psychologist (Psy.D.) who provides psychotherapy to children, adolescents and adults in a wide range of issues, including:
Couples Therapy
My approach to couples treatment is to collaborate with you and your partner to identify and achieve your goals. We work together to improve communication, resolve conflict and build trust and intimacy. Together, we create a safe, nonjudgmental environment to work through your relationship issues, increase your ability to cope with psychological stressors and strengthen your partnership. I also provide premarital counseling to couples seeking a proactive approach to strengthening and solidifying their relationship.
Parent Skills Training
I provide skills training for parents of children with social, emotional and behavioral problems. I collaborate with parents to create and implement behavior plans for children struggling with such disorders as ADHD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder and emotional regulation issues. Parent training is most effective when done in conjunction with child and adolescent therapy to best support a child's treatment and progress.
School-Based Services
I conduct school-based observations to assess children and adolescents who are struggling in an academic setting. I also perform school consultations and staff trainings on a variety of mental health issues.
Psychoeducational and Neuropsychological Assessment
I conduct a wide range of assessments including ADHD, Learning Disabilities, Psychological Consultation and ERB evaluations.
A psychoeducational assessment evaluates intellectual abilities and academic skills. Patients and their families will gain insight into the cognitive and emotional functioning that underlies learning processes. The results of this test can be used to design an educational plan that best suits the individual. A neuropsychological assessment focuses on the brain-behavior relationship linking certain skill sets to specific brain functions and development. It may measure areas such as intelligence, memory, language, gross and fine motor skills, and emotional and behavioral functioning.
